Back in 1966, armed with a recipe and a dream, Leonardo and Rosina Aceti opened a small kitchen serving pizza pies. Using the recipe they were raised with in Cosenza, Italy they would make their dough from scratch and by hand. Using only the finest ingredients and quality toppings, word quickly spread throughout the Hamilton area about a great tasting pizza. It wasn’t long before the demand outgrew the capabilities of the small kitchen. In 1970, a dining room was added to accommodate guests desire to eat the fresh pizzas straight from the oven. 1984 saw the restaurant grow again to include the classic centre bar now famous at Aceti’s.
